Preschool Room Top Chapel Day Nursery

Welcome to our preschool room

Your child will move into the preschool room when they reach the age of 3 years. We take children up to the ages of 8 years in our pre schoolroom with two separate areas. One area for our 3-5 years and an after school club/holiday club for 5-8 years.

When the children reach these new rooms they are now becoming more confident and independent learners and are eager for new and extended learning opportunities and experiences. We have excellent staff who are fully trained and ensure that the needs of every individual child are met.

The children have the freedom to choose activities of their choice and our planning comes from the children. We encourage the children to be as fully involved and engaged as possible with their learning opportunities. You will notice your child grow in confidence the more time that they spend with us.

We put a very important emphasis on our outdoor learning environments and are constantly reviewing and updating our outdoor area. Our aim is to ensure that children are able to experience all areas of learning both indoors and outdoors.

In our pre-school room, we ensure the children feel like they are coming into a home to home environment. To prepare children for school is to simply focus on their own personal social and emotional needs, for them to feel safe and secure, to feel confident, to freely interact with peers, to learn and understand boundaries, encouraging independence, decision making, using maths and literacy skills through play and promoting all parts of the Early Years Foundation Stage to their daily learning.
These are the skills our team will support the children with together. We feel this is an invaluable opportunity for the children to prepare themselves for starting school.
